Do you hire the climbing wall?

Do you hire for indoor sports?

Yes, you can book for any indoor sport activity, climbing lessons, badminton, we have a full size court 13.4m x 6.1m, short tennis, table tennis, volleyball we have a 16m x 8m court or other racquet sports that use a badminton court/net i.e. Pickleball. Businesses can hire our Sports/Community Hall for sports/fitness classes and our climbing wall can be booked by professional coaches and instructors who hold the appropriate Professional Award, current First Aid Certificate, Liability Insurance and references.

How much is the venue hire?

Sports/Community Hall Standard Hire £15 per/hr & Commercial Hire £23 per/hr, The Hastings Room Standard Hire £15 per/hr & Commercial Hire £23 per/hr, Outside Space Standard Hire £15 per/hr & Commercial Hire £23 per/hr, Badminton, Table Tennis, Short Tennis, Pickleball, Volleyball £15 per/hr. How/when will I pay for hire?

Our bookings administrator will email your hire invoice and damage/security deposit fee, if applicable, you can pay your invoice(s) online with your Debit or Credit Card. Please note children’s parties and same month or recurring bookings are payment on receipt – a booking is not confirmed until full payment has been made. To secure the date for an advance function/event a payment of 25% of your hire invoice is required, the balance and damage/security deposit are due 28 days in advance of your hire date.

Do you hire for Children’s Parties?

Yes, great value at only £15 an hour we have a large indoor space perfect for bouncy castles and up to 250 guests, fully equipped kitchen, picnic area with 9 tables and 5 acres of leafy, secure grounds, all the ingredients you need for an amazing children’s party. We recommend a 4 hour booking slot for £60 which includes tables, chairs, kitchen for food storage and making hot drinks, set up and clean down time. We also have Climbing Birthday Parties. What kind of bar do you have?

We are a Licensed Premises, alcohol can be served between 10am – 11.30pm. We do not have a built in bar, but a bar area with optics so you can do your own DIY bar or use one of our recommended award winning mobile bar suppliers who will provide a bespoke, premium bar for your celebration or event with trained staff.

Do you have Wedding Celebration Packages?

We can offer whole venue hire for 250 people indoors and outdoors we have over 5 acres of leafy grounds ideal for a marquee from June – August inclusive. We can also help with bespoke option suppliers including award winning staffed bar, catering, DJ’s, bands, entertainers, deco, drapes, marquees  – our friendly and knowledgeable team will work with you to ensure all of your requirements are met for your special day.

Can I park at Morley Village & Sports Hall?

Car parking is free for all visitors at Morley Village & Sports Hall and can accommodate 100+ vehicles. Two disabled parking bays are available outside the main entrance. There is a bike rack area on the right hand corner of the main entrance and room for coaches to park by prior arrangement.

Do I need to bring my own tables and chairs?

Included with Main Hall hire: 25 x Rectangular Tables, 100 x indoor upholstered chairs, 50 x plastic chairs for children’s parties. Included with Hastings Room hire: Boardroom Table + 6 chairs, 30 x indoor upholstered chairs, 5 x tables/desks, Smart Screen, Mini Kitchen, Flip Chart/Pad/Pens, Projector Screen/Magnetic Dry Wipe Writing Board, 2 x Easy Chairs & coffee table. Included with all hires: Kitchen for making hot drinks, 9 x Picnic Tables, Playing Field & Heating. Is there access to power and water?

There is access to power and water in all our hireable spaces, including outdoors, however supply varies. Contact us in advance if you require access to power and we will advice you on the best set up.

Do you provide catering?

The main hall has a linked kitchen and the Hastings Meeting Room has a mini kitchen or we can provide you with details of our recommended award winning suppliers who can provide you with a range of options including wedding and party food, meeting refreshments, lunches, canapes and drinks – these are also listed on our Venue Hire, Price List and Suppliers Guide page.

Do I need Public Liability Insurance or a Risk Assessment for a commercial event?

Yes, your Public Liability Insurance should offer an appropriate level of cover for your specific event and we will require a copy of this and your Risk Assessment.

Is there access to WiFi?

Yes, there is free public WiFi in all the spaces, the WiFi code is displayed in all hire spaces.

How do I get my event added to your social media?

When you make a booking enquiry we will ask you to either include the details or message us on Facebook or Instagram with details of your event and images for us to share where we can.

Is there Public Transport nearby?

Yes, our bus stop is ‘Besthorpe opp Morley Turn’ on Norwich Road a 5 minute walk away via a pavement https://bustimes.org/services/13-spixworth-attleborough-via-a11-and-wymondham and Wymondham/Attleborough Train Stations are a short taxi journey

What times is the building available for hire?

The building is available to hire from 6am until 11:30pm. It is essential to book taxis in advance.

Disabled Facilities

All facilities are on the ground floor with no steps with the exception of the first floor Meeting/Therapy Room. There are two Blue Badge parking bays immediately outside the main entrance and a dedicated accessible toilet. There is no fixed seating so wheelchair spaces can be positioned anywhere in the Sports & Community Hall. Currently there is no permanent hearing loop fitted, however we can make arrangements upon request.

What Toilets & Baby Changing do you have?

There are toilets available off the main foyer and in the changing rooms. Baby changing is available in Morley Village & Sports Hall disabled toilet adjacent to the female toilets.

What times do we have access?

We will discuss your requirements and arrange with you in advance your set up and clearing away access times as part of your hire.

What are your room sizes?

Our sports/community hall is 20 metres x 10 metres x 6 – 7.2 metres high and our Hastings Meeting Room is 10 metres x 4.6/4.06 metres

What’s included in the cost of the hire?

Rectangular Tables x 25 various sizes, Upholstered Chairs x 100, Children’s Party Chairs x 50, outside Picnic Tables x 9, Kitchen for making hot drinks/food storage & heating which you turn on when you arrive. Add on’s available to hire: Kitchen for cooking £5 per/hr, Round Indoor Banqueting Function Tables seat 8 people £5 each, Outdoor Plastic Patio tables & chairs £50, Changing Rooms £5 per/hr, Extra Freezers £5. How do I book a space for an event?

Please go to the ‘Book with Us’ page, scroll down to the online calendar, select your room from the drop down menu, choose your date and fill in the booking enquiry form or email us at morleyvillageandsportshall@gmail.com We aim to be as responsive as possible to enquiries, please allow at least 48 hours’ notice for us to receive and process your enquiry.

Do you have a cloakroom?

We have a large coat rail with hangers in the foyer.
